In this week's case, we look at a young female patient who presents with mainly comedonal and papular acne, as well as early scarring.

Update

Dr King's treatment plan included:

  • Erythromycin 400 mg 2 bd
  • Estelle -35 ED 
  • Topical retinoid at night
  • 6/52 Blue/Red LED

At the patient's 6-week review:

  • Wood’s light shows excellent cleansing
  • Minimal active acne
  • Residual sebaceous “bumpiness”
  • Start Dermaroller and vitamin C serum at night before Retrieve
  • Further 1 month antibiotics
  • Book for Dermapen in 1 month
