Child & Adolescent Health program overview

Children and adolescents are a big part of every general practice, and parents rely on their GP to recognise when a child is seriously unwell.

The Child & Adolescent Health pathway is designed to progressively build the knowledge to assess and manage health conditions in young patients — from neonatal care and vaccination through to allergies, poisoning and child protection.

  • Assess the sick child and manage common conditions, including asthma, ADHD, autism and long-term childhood conditions.
  • Care for neonates and keep childhood vaccination on track.
  • Manage complex presentations, including anaphylaxis, food allergies, poisoning, childhood infections and child abuse.
  • Progress at your own pace through two certificate levels, fully online. A Professional Diploma is coming soon.
