When is a skin malignancy 'too advanced' for a GP to manage?

Prof Henderson emphasises the importance of recognising when a lesion's size, depth, or location (particularly in anatomically challenging areas like the face) might necessitate advanced surgical techniques or multidisciplinary care.

Additionally, he discusses scenarios where histopathological features (such as perineural invasion or aggressive subtypes) warrant specialist involvement.
