What do you think of this lesion on the helix rim?

Written by HealthCert Education | Oct 19, 2025 8:00:00 PM

This week, we revisit a case from Dr David Stewart, in which an 84-year-old male patient is referred by another GP for a new, tender lesion on the rim of the helix.

The patient was given antibiotics but the lesion has not improved. He has a past history of squamous cell carcinoma and lentigo maligna.

Reviewing the clinical and dermoscopy images below, what do you think of this lesion?

Please leave your comments today and check back for the outcome from Wednesday 2pm AEDT.
