In this month's general dermatology case discussion, we look at a 40-year-old female patient based in Queensland who presents with a 12-month history of acute, increasing erythema of the facial skin.
What is your treatment plan for this patient?
This is Dr DeAmbrosis' management plan:
1. Swab MCS & viral PCR to exclude bacterial/viral superinfection
2. Analysis of topical regime to exclude allergic contact dermatitis cause/component
3. Workup: FBC, ELFT, IgE, strongyloidiasis exclusion
4. Prescription provided Advantan FO with emollient for 6 weeks then review
5. If non-response/minimal for Dupilumab application to PBS
